IAB Global Network Launches 'Creator Week' Across 17 Markets to Boost Creator Economy

The IAB Global Network has officially launched its 'IAB Global Creator Week,' an initiative spanning 17 markets to foster the growth of the creator marketing industry. Running from September 14 to 18, the event aims to establish greater transparency, enhance measurement standards, and ensure consistent governance within the global creator economy through a series of regional events, collaborative research, and the operation of a global digital hub.

Fostering Global Collaboration for Creator Economy Growth

Recognizing the creator economy as a fundamental pillar of the digital ecosystem—with approximately 50 million professional or semi-professional content creators out of over 200 million worldwide—the IAB Global Network conceived 'Creator Week'. This initiative brings together IAB chapters from 17 markets, including Australia, Brazil, Canada, Germany, and Ireland, along with regional organizations such as IAB Europe and IAB MENA. Participants will present diverse programs tailored to each market's unique characteristics and priorities.

The IAB emphasized that this event is designed not as a one-off occasion, but as an ongoing platform with a long-term vision. Its aim is to integrate the purchasing cycles of multinational creator marketing campaigns and enhance their efficiency. This approach is viewed as a strategic move to maximize the growth potential of the creator marketing market and establish a stable foundation for the industry as a whole.

Key Regional Events and Global Digital Hub Operations

During Creator Week, each participating country will host distinctive flagship events. In the United States, New York will host 'IAB CreatorFront' on September 15, an upfront-style marketplace connecting buyers and sellers within the creator economy. Concurrently, London will feature the 'IAB UK Creator Marketing Growth Summit,' Toronto will host 'IAB Canada Data Night,' and Dubai will hold the 'IAB MENA Creator Marketing Forum.' These key events will be concentrated in major regions.

Alongside these regional programs, a global digital hub will also be operational. This hub will centralize a worldwide list of events and build a comprehensive resource library, featuring contributions from additional IAB organizations such as those in Argentina, Austria, and Chile. It will serve as a central repository for sharing information and knowledge about creator marketing. The IAB intends for this initiative to consolidate creator marketing-related information and provide a platform for industry participants to communicate organically.

Charting New Horizons in Creator Marketing

David Cohen, CEO of IAB, stated, "The creator economy has firmly established itself as an an essential component of the digital ecosystem." He expressed his satisfaction in uniting the global network to support this vital and expanding industry sector. This sentiment suggests that the event will mark a significant turning point for the sustainable growth and development of the creator marketing industry.

The 'IAB Global Creator Week' is expected to redefine the role and direction of the advertising industry within the rapidly evolving creator ecosystem. By establishing global standards, it aims to open new horizons for creator marketing. Further detailed schedules from participating countries are anticipated to be announced in due course.
